Challenge #1 (Reply)

As promised I have created a card using my take on the challenged sketch.

I created this card for my best friend's Birthday. she is a wonderful person and I thought a Simple Card would work well, turns out I was right!

Stamping SAB Style [Part 1]

Many of you have seen this photo in my previous post, but I needed a separate link for the contest that I am entering the card in.
To make these (8) cards I first stamped the flower from the SAB hostess set "Slice of Life," then I colored it using Stampin' Pastels. I then stamped the medallion in versamark and embossed it in clear embossing powder. then sponged over it in chocolate. I added it to the inside of a transparent card and added some pearls.
This is the view of the inside.

Creations from The Weekend [part II]

Here are some other creations from the weekend.
If you are interested in any details please message me.

The first one is the Valentine for my sweetheart I made (and the one he ended up with)
This next one was a CASE from another stamper. A vintage card that can be used for anything from thank you to birthday or even Sympathy. (I made a set of 4)
This card was done to make my sweetheart a Valentine, but it ended up that I made something else for him (see above) I wanted to use the Thoughts and prayers set for something unconventional. This was the first outcome. (I made a set of 4)
This next creation Is Beautiful, however I wish I wasn't requested to make it. Not because I don't like making cards for my friends, it was just the situation. This card is a Sympathy card for one of my best friends; her family friend had lost their grandfather. I hope this card makes them feel better and lets them know that they are well loved.
This set is using "Dot, Dot, Dot" and "Slice of life" Hostess Set from the Occasions Mini. I wanted to make a girlie glam card, this is the result, I think I got what I was after. :) (I made a set of 4)
This set was done at the same time for the girlie glam card, using last year's in colors. It was also made using "Dot, Dot, Dot" and "Slice of life" Hostess Set from the Occasions Mini. (I made a set of 4)
Here is a fun vintage tag I made for my Supply Cady.
This pretty card was a demonstration in one of my workshops. It uses the "On A Pedestal set." Hope you like it.
Another card that I made as a demonstration in one of my workshops. It too uses the "On A Pedestal set."
Now these little creations were FUN. It was the first time I had used transparent sheets, I wasn't confident enough to stamp on them so I just adhered the image to the inside and embellished with some Pearls. The stamps are the medallion and from "Slice of Life" from the occasions Mini.
This Card is part of the new obsession I have with the Vintage look (which I used to hate) lol. I know Christmas is over now and is 10 months away, but I had just got the stamp set and desperately wanted to use it. The stamp set is Holiday Happiness. I love how it turned out. (I made 4 of these)
This Card is from one of my workshops. I taught some cards, this is one of them. I used the Cottage Garden stamp set and a greeting from Just believe.
Well, I hoped you liked them, that was my weekend, stay tuned for a peek at what I get up to this weekend, hint: it will involve a sunset. :)

Creations from The Weekend [part I]

This past weekend was crammed full of creations and my desk was packed full of things! Here are some photos of my creations:

This fist group was done at the same time as the "Craft Happenings" post:

These were inspired by turning the "Thoughts and Prayers" set into something NOT a sympathy Card. I just love how easy it is to create using Stampin' UP!'s stamps. Many of these creations use stamps form the Sale-a-Bration set "So Happy for You."
The first card is done with the Cottage garden stamp set and Dazzling Diamonds.
Here is one of my Favorites! I used the little heart from the "So Happy for You" set. I love that heart! I embossed the heart on the right in clear embossing powder over Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink.
For this card I also used the "So Happy for You" sale-a-bration set and also embossed the butterfly on the right in clear embossing powder over Rich Razzleberry. gotta love the Stamp-a-jig!
Here is am Image of  the full set.

Card Happenings

Well lately I've been busy working away at my desk; but homework gets boring after about 4 hours so here are some cards that I have made using some of the pieces of Stampin' UP!'s Sale-a-Bration set "So Happy for You."
I've been working a lot lately on creating sets of cards for those in my network who love handmade cards, but don't want to make them, even as part of a kit. One of these people is my mother. A wonderful lady who humors me and my stamping but would rather buy than make, which works out nicely for me.

The first card in the set is done with the clover (as it wishes the recipient good luck) and Dazzling Diamonds on one of the clovers.
This next card I used clear embossing powder to highlight the one star. I kept it's tails as I wanted it to appear special. I liked how this card and the good luck one are both gender neutral, sometimes it's hard for me not to make pretty feminine cards.
On this card I chose the flower stamp and the Birthday Wishes greeting from the set; again I used Dazzling Diamonds to highlight the far right flower. (All of the embellished pieces are on the far right)

Here is a photo of the whole set of Six. There are two each of the three designs. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Supplies:
Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers, So Happy for You (sale-a-bration FREE set)
     Ink: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
     Paper: Olive, Vanilla, Newsprint
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Dazzling Diamonds, Heat Tool, Mat pack, paper piercing tool, sponges, Ribbon
