Baby First Watercolours

Hello Internet Lovelies, Today I get to show you a card I made for the As You See It Challenge #125. This Challenge is to use a Sentiment that we love to use. The Sentiment that I chose for this project is "baby firsts" from the Baby Prints Stamp Set (which is sooo stinking cute!) For this card I let the sentiment be the focal point by embossing it in black onto watercolour paper. I then used water colours (as I have been doing a lot lately) to add some pops of colour in a yellow, orange, pink colour scheme.

I layered the watercolour paper onto Crushed Curry CS and then onto a Whisper White card base. Here is a close-up on the watercoloring:

Blissful Cut Wonderful Wishes

Hello, Today I am excited to share I card I made for the Paper Craft Crew Colour Challenge #183. I cased the design off a card I found on pinterest (sorry I didn't pin it). I used the Colour Combo of Blackberry Bilss, Old Olive, Lost Lagoon, Smokey Slate, and Whisper White.

I used the Flower Shop, Dictionary, and Bring on the Cake Stamp Sets and the Alphabet Embossing Folder for stamps. I used the Bird Builder, Flower Shop, and Petite Flower punches to build the focal point flowers and leaves. The flowers were stamped with Blackberry Bliss and then I went over them with a white gel pen. I further embellished the card with Silver Washi Tape from a old Paper Pumpkin and added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to the centre of the flowers.

Here is a close-up on the card details.

Window Elegant Butterfly

Welcome to my blog, Today I am excited to share with you a really cute card I made for the CAS Colours & Sketches Colour Challenege #161 and the Make My Monday Through the Window Challenge. The colour combo is Elegant Eggplant, Silver, Wisteria Wonder, and I also used Back Memento Ink, Basic Grey (silverish), and Whisper White.
For this card I used the Swallowtail stamp set and a greeting from an old Paper Pumpkin Kit. I wanted to make it look like the butterfly is being seen through the window.
I really like this simple and clean card, and it is quite lovely in person.

Here is a close-up on some of the deatil of the card. It is really tough to see the metallic silver of the banners, but I guess you will just have to trust me.

Glamorous Birthday Balloons Bokeh

Hello Lovelies,
Today I made this really cute card for Paper Players Challenge #283: CAS Balloons. The inspiration photo was beautiful soft pastel colours, so I used a subtles colour pallet and the Bokeh technique
The stamp set is Tag It and the clour combo is Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, So Saffron, and Gold.

As the Bokeh Technique sponges circles on the background of the card I decided to make the focal image a circle and then pop it up on a pool party circle with paper piercing for more visual interest. At this point the card looked really good, but there was something missing, So I added some Gold Glimmer Washi Tape, and it is just perfect!

A Colourful City is Home

Hello Lovelies, Today I am excited to share with you a card I made for the Addicted to CAS Challenge #82: Home. The card I decided to make was a city skyline card and I used a watercolour technique.
The city we live in (our home) is full of rich culture, heritage and art; and I think cities are best if coloured with a beatiful diversity. That is why I chose a city skyline fore the HOME challenge.

Here is a close-up on the watercolour technique. all the texture and dry patterns of the water is really beautiful!

I liked the idea of this card so much I decided to make 2, One portrait one landscape. On the second one my watercolour didn't turn out the way I liked, but thankfully it looked lovely on the reverse side, so I used that instead.

Here is a close-up on the second card. I like the more muted tones of the colours here. It is a nice effect.

Raccoon Friend

Hello, I am so excited to share with you this card I made today for 613 Avenue Create Challenge #164. The Challenge gave you the choose between three colour schemes; I chose option a) White, Grey, Black.

Here is a close-up on some of the details of the card. I love the little paper spirals and the cute banner details on the honeycomb background. The paper piercing was simple and created just enough visual interest to help the layer stand out.

The greeting is from an old Paper Pumpkin Stamp set.

Pastel Watercolours

Hello creative people,
Today I am sharing with you a card I made for The Friday Mash-up #243. This challenge is to create a project with a birthday theme / create a project using stencils / or Mash it Up!! and create a birthday themed project that uses stencils.

I chose to make a birthday card with a cute watercolour background layered on Pistachio Pudding, and Whisper White. The text is my own penmanship made by writing out my greeting with a sharpie marker and scanning it into my computer. I then made it a Silhouette cut file, cut it in Pistachio Pudding, and then outlined it, and cut that in Smokey Slate. I topped the card off with 3 banners and a foil heart for embellishments.

Love and Joy

Hello crafty people,
I am excited to share with you a card I made for a few challenges while I was on holiday. As I was on holiday I only took one grocery bag full of stamping supplies with me therefore I had quite limited supplies on hand. I made this card only with white card stock, craft card stock, markers, a couple stamp sets, and a few odds and ends that I brought with me.
The challenges I used to create this card are: The Card Concept #48, and CASology #184: Valentine.
I was also inspired by the sketch at Paper Craft Crew #180, and the February Elemental Inspiration at Daring Card Makers.

I used a Freestyle Collage style to make this card. I added a few elements from the Daring Card Makers inspiration photo I used the texture of the wicker basket so I used burlap ribbon, as in the photo I prominently featured the heart, and I used the flowers to create myself a banner.

Here is a close-up on some of the details of the card.

Simple Blooms

Hello Internet people,
The card I am sharing with you today I made for a few challenges while I was on holiday. As I was on holiday I only took one grocery bag full of stamping supplies with me therefore I had quite limited supplies on hand, unlike while in my craft room filled to the rafters with goodies.
I also used inspiration for the sketch from Alison Barclay, and the colours from CAS Colours & Sketches #159.

For this card I started with all white paper (with the exception of the leaves on the rolled flowers) I used my paper trimmer to act as a guide to make a plaid pattern on a piece of white paper using markers. I also used glossy white paper that had been textured with Pumpkin Pie Ink, and I used a melon mambo marker to colour the circles that I used to make the rolled paper flowers.

Here is a close-up on the details on the card.
