CAS 30th Birthday

Hello there,
Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a couple of challeneges, CASology #191: Washi, AAA Cards CAS #61: Stencil, and the sketch from the Paper Players #288. I used this inspiration to create a 30th birthday card as I have several coming up. To make this card I created a numbers mask with my Silhouette Cameo and sponged Smoky Slate Ink over it. I used some Washi Tape I have in my stash for the colour bands. I cut the "30" out of Cherry Cobbler CS using the same font on my Silhouette Cameo and layered it on a 1 3/8" Smoky Slate Circle sponged with Ink. The greeting is from Yippee Skippee and is embellished with two standard staples.

Here is a close-up on the details of the card. Let me know your thoughts.

Make 5 o'clock Good

Hello internet friends, I am excited to share a card I made today for a couple challenges; the CAS(E) this Shetch #165, and the colour combo from IN{K}SPIRE me #242. I used Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizazz, Backberry Bliss, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White to make this card. The centre piece is layered on top of retired 2-tone Pink Pirouette ribbon, and a shaped piece of Pear Pizazz. The Greeting is from a retired Paper Pumpin Kit and stamped in Blackberry Bliss.  The whole thing is layered on a piece of White CS that I sponged with Pear Pizazz.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the clock pieces, then stamped the word stamp from French Foliage onto the clock face in Blackberry Bliss, and added a rhinestone for some glam. I made the time slightly after 5 o'clock because I was originally thinking of doing a 5 o'clock somewhere greeting... I guess I still could on the inside.  Here is a close-up of the clock face. (Sorry its rotated, blogger says that it is the "right way up" lol)

Here is the clock before I changed out the centre for plain white version with the words. The first one here was sponged with Pear Pizazz in the centre and Blackberry Bliss around the outside. I think it looks much better with the white above; this one gives off a dirty vibe. What are your thoughts?

Golden Feather Birthday

Hello crafters, Today I am participating in a few challenges. They are the Color Thowdown #385, and CAS Colours and Sketches #166. To make this card I masked off 5 rounded rectangles and sponged through them Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, and Island Indago. After the five shapes were sponged onto the card I added the greeting from Wetlands Stamp Set in Bermuda Bay. I cut the Feathers in Gold Metalic CS using my Shilouette. I made them a little more detailed by drawing some detail on them using my embossing (scoring) stylus. I popped the middle feather up using dimentionals.
Here is my creation, Let me know what you think, could this be used for a guy?

Everybunny Challenge Card Version 2 (for a boy)

Hello, This is the second of two versions of the same card, the first one can be found here.
As I mentioned a couple days ago on my blog I recently printed off a bunch of Easter images to use on cards/pages. I decided to use some of the extras to make a cute card (or two) for a few challenges.
The challenges I am participating in today are: ColourQ #334 (Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Whisper White), Paper Craft Crew Challenge Sketch #187, and the Paper Players #287 (Clean and Simple Spring).
I chose to do a Clean and Layered look for this card. I sponged the bottom panel of  paper with Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, and Melon Mambo ink inside different circle masks. I then spritzed the whole panel with a Stampin' Spritzer with water and Coastal Cabana Ink. The other DSP is just some from my stash.

The main focal Image was coloured using Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, and Blush Blossom then layered onto a Coastal Cabanna Oval that has been paper pierced.
For Embellishments I made my own Enamel dots/Candy Dots with DSP and Crystal Effects. I also used a retired wood button tied up with coloured bakers twine. Here is a close-up on some of the details:

Everybunny Challenge Card Version 1 (for a girl)

Hello, This is the first of two versions of the same card, the second one can be found here.
I sponged the bottom panel of  paper with Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, and Melon Mambo ink inside different circle masks and then went over the whole think with shimmer paint using the same process. You can see it shimmer in one of the close-up photos. The other DSP is just some from my stash.

The main focal Image was coloured using Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, and Blush Blossom then layered onto a Melon Mambo Oval that has been paper pierced.
For Embellishments I made my own Enamel dots/Candy Dots with DSP and Crystal Effects. I also used a paper button cut with the Bigshot underneath a Red Bow (using ribbon that totally matched my poppy parade). Here is a close-up on some of the details:

Easter Bunny

Hello Internet Crafters,
Wecome -or welcome back- to my blog. Today I am excited to share a card I made for the Sketch~N~Scrap Card Sketch #69 March Challenge. For This Sketch I decided to do an Easter theme as with the chick card I made earlier I had printed some online images from MDS/online. I got the Everybunny Stamp set and chose one of those images for this card.
I used retired DSP from Saleabration a few years ago and stuck with that colour sheme. Here is my creation, let me know what you think.

Here is a close up on the focal point, to create the scallop boarder I used several small hearts all layered around the oval -this worked but was painstaking to get it to the right size for the scallops. (I will likely not repeat the process lol)

Easter Chickies

Hello Internet crafters,
Welcome to my blog -or welcome back if you've been here before- today I am sharing with you a card I made for the final challenge at The Friday Mashup #245. It is sad to see blogs go, but such is life... things come and things go, it is our responsibility to appreciate them while they last.
I wish the Friday Mashup design team and all the contributors all the best in the future; may your craft spaces always hold laughter and relaxation. Stay creative my darlings.
The Challenge for The Friday Mashup #245 is to :
  1. Create a Project with an "Easter theme or Chicks & Bunnies"
  2. or Create a Project using the "Sketch"
  3. or Mash it Up and create an Easter project using the Sketch (below)
I chose to use #3 and create a Clean and Simple Easter Theme card with chicks using the sketch. As I didn't have any Easter stamps I used an image I found on Google, added a greeting below and printed it out on white card stock. I cut it out using and Oval Framelit and coloured it in using Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and Peach Parfait. I Layered the oval on a larger oval of Daffodil Delight that I did some paper piercing on. I used some retired Peach Parfait DSP for the diagonal lines and adhered that to a 5.25" x 4" piece of white CS and them put that on a white card base. the focal image was attached using dimensionals.

Here is a close up on the chickies:
